2009-06-11 - 1:49 p.m. I know we all have our own sleeping rituals - to snooze or not to snooze. I used to be vehemently anti-snooze until I slept in the cave that was my bedroom on Damen. I just could not get out of bed in the darkness, so I gave in and allowed snoozing to occur. Now there's no way back - heh. And I do snooze almost daily, but today down the elevator on the way to lunch I overheard this insanity regarding snoozing and sleeping habits. Two co-workers were discussing their snooze habits and how one of them used to set her alarm an hour ahead of when she wanted to get up just so she could snooze. Then she added, but when I first met boyfriend/husband (don't know she only used a name, but clearly someone she slept with since we are discussing snoozing and I didn't check her hand for a ring - anyway...) I was awakened to an alarm going off in the middle of the night. I shrugged it off thinking it was a mistake, but it kept happening and at random hours. So finally I asked him wtf that was all about and he said, "Oh, I just love when the alarm goes off and I look at the time and know I have a lot of time still left to sleep." Seriously? OMG - randomly setting your alarm to go off at 2 am (or whenever) just so you can feel happy that you can sleep longer? I have never heard anything so insane in my life. And if I ever come across someone that I have to sleep with that does this, I may have to accidentally kill them. Heh - have to sleep with... Sparky - this one you have to sleep with, don't care if you want to... quit yer bitchin' and take one for the team, dammit.
