2009-06-29 - 11:37 a.m. Some days it is too much to listen to some of my friends and their stupid ass diagnoses of themselves and how easily they are duped into taking supplements, or not eating certain foods or believing in magical thinking to just change their lives. Gah. Seriously - if a doctor isn't prescribing it to you and there's only one guy in the world who believes in the efficacy of the treatment and he cites his own book as proof, it's not a cure. If the only people selling this miracle drug are the dude himself and a company he created - it's not a cure for your heart problems either. I mean, what harm is there in believing in such a thing - I guess beyond the $90/month that the person is shelling out and if they can afford it - why should I care? And it's not like I'm anti-alternative medicine. I think there are some benefits to such things, but I do not believe that acupuncture will cure cancer. And I don't believe that popping an herbal supplement will stop you from having a heart attack. And I certainly don't believe that rehashing events from 25 years ago and getting revenge for those events is a good way to finance your every day living. Why is everyone I know fucking batshit insane? Seriously. I need a vacation from my friends.
