Only a couple more hours of work until I'm off for a long weekend back in Iowa City. It's One Eyed Jakes 20th anniversary, so we are all headed out there to prove that we still know how to drink. Could be dangerous.
I have a huge list of things to do before we take off. Make sure the kitten has clean litter, water and food. Make sure the dishes are done. Maybe some more laundry. Pack. Pedicure.
What to wear? what to wear? that's the big question. What does one pack for a bar's anniversary? Hee. The worst part is this was all planned by men; i.e. there really are no plans. Oh, I thought since we'd all be there we'd just drink. Um, which bar? when? Won't we need food? Can one really survive drinking for 72 hours straight?
I'm sure it will be fine. It's not like we don't know how to get around Iowa City on our own. Of course, I'm terrified of being beat up by the roving gangs of people that seem to be attacking people in the downtown area while they smoke outside. Gonna find myself a big man to smoke outside with me.
