I'm still alive! Only a wee bit of sunburn on my left shoulder and a heat rash on my neck, but that little amount of pain and injury is pretty damn impressive for 3 whole days spent outside.
Friday I was saved by Boy's hoodie - that kept me warm when my rain jacket decided to not keep me dry. Evil was saved by me since I did not leave him passed out in the port-a-potty even though it was an hour later and there was nary a soul left in Grant Park to help me. Seriously - security much? anyway - made it out of that when he decided to finally unlock the freaking door and crawl down Columbus while I misdirected the cops and got a cab. Lord.
Saturday was hotter than hell. But it was actually a fun day. Sunday I arrived pretty late because I couldn't handle direct sunlight again. Got there in time for Neko Case - really, all I wanted to see was Kelly Hogan on the stage - love that girl!
But we all survived and all had a great time at Lollapalooza. I think I am learning that Lolla is a young person's game, but I'm still able to play pretty damn well, thank you very much.
I actually have what they might call a tan - okay, it's so not a tan, but it is color! Which is amazing for me! Ahh, SPF 50 and a hat and I won't get burned by the sun. I should just get it over with and become a vampire.
